 DeFi Nylon utilizes  an innovative flame retardant masterbatch additive during the extrusion process of the nylon fiber. Flame retardants integrate into the polymer backbone. It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and recyclable. As it becomes part of the nylon molecule, mechanical properties of nylon are unaffected and flame retardant leeching issues are eliminated. Nylon fabrics made with DeFi Nylon  have shown self-extinguishing behavior and the ability to eliminate melt dripping.
